Duck, Duck, Boo

Today was our first Saturday together as a family. It was a good one. David took the kids up to the neighborhood school so they could ride bikes. I had a few moments to myself which are very few and far between these days:) All of the kids had bikes. Two summers ago Caleb won one of the bikes in the VBS giveaway. It was too big for him so we bought him a new one and gave that bike to J. Also, some church members called a few months back and gave us a bike for M that their granddaughter had outgrown. YAY for hand-me-downs! So the kids start riding bikes and MA takes off like a pro. J on the other hand was having a really hard time and eventually starts throwing a fit and pointing at the training wheels. David finally puts him on MA bike and he takes off with no problems. So apparently they have both ridden bikes before:)

Tonight Caleb decided he wanted to play duck, duck, goose. He told everyone to sit down in a circle so we did. We thought that MA and J wouldn't understand what was going on but they caught on pretty quickly when they saw us model for them how the game was played. It was J's turn to be the leader and as he went around the circle he would say duck, duck, duck, and when he came to David he said "boo". From that point on the game became Duck, Duck, Boo.
